Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has all the infrastructural facilities required for imparting high-quality education and is planned to meet the present day needs of the society. The department is well equipped with excellent laboratories provided with state-of-art equipment and experimental facilities. The institute is extremely proud of its alumni, a considerable number of them being entrepreneurs or senior executives in industries both within India and abroad. The curriculum of this branch is designed and furnished by seeking the most recent trends to keep pace with international standard. The opportunity of up gradation and revision of curriculum by peer groups enables the engineering graduates of our branch to sustain in any situations in fast changing scenarios. With the present pace of Industrialisation, the scope of Mechanical Engineering is ever expanding with advancement in the areas of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Robotics, Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) and Laser Technology etc. Interested graduates can pursue higher studies in convenient discipline such as Machine Design and Analysis, Industrial Design, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy studies and Information Technology etc. The Department is offering M. Tech programme in the specialization of Mechanical System Design, Production Engineering  and Thermal Engineering . Also offering Ph. D program under NDF, ADF and autonomous system.

Department of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering, the oldest and the parent branch of the Engineering is as old as human Civilization that concerns itself with construction and maintenance of public utilities like buildings, roads, bridges, water supply system etc. The AICTE has approved 2 years regular P.G. programme in Transportation, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering and 2 years part time P.G. Course in Environmental Science and Engineering as a Continuing Education Programme for regular as well for the engineers employed in the different organization. This Department has been recognised as a QIP Centre by AICTE/MHRD.

Department of Computer Science Engineering & Applications

To become a recognized ethical leader with morale in the state of Odisha and beyond, offering high-quality educational programmes in computer science and its applications is the vision of the Department. To offer a high-quality education in the art and science of computing, as well as to prepare students for career opportunities in this area requiring a high level of technical knowledge and skill. To develop and administer programs which serve the needs of industrial computer scientists, researchers and computer application specialists for whom the discipline of computing sciences provides indispensable tools. The Department was started as the Computer Centre in 1988. It offered M.Tech, MCA, B.Tech, and PhD degree programmes. In 1988, the MCA programme was started. The B.Tech degree programme was started in the year of 2008. Today the Department has a vibrant student body numbering about 700 (approximately). The department has been funded by DST, AICTE for different Research Project, MODROB Project, and others Projects.
